Piano Lessons
I have been teaching piano for over a decade. As part of my studies at The Hartt School, I learnt to play and teach piano and my forte (pun intended) is working with beginner students.
I offer Traditional piano lessons to children ages 7 and up. Beginners are expected to be accompanied by a parent in the first few lessons, who will help establish a solid practice foundation at home. With my blend of Suzuki philosophy and Traditional styles, your child will receive the best of both worlds and they'll be performing beautifully in no time!
Many adults often come to me asking to fulfill their life-long dream of learning to play the piano. I have a great method that is perfect for adult beginners, who have been very successful and enjoyed learning a fun, new creative outlet.
My studio is located in the heart of Southington at the brand new Southington Community Cultural Arts building (SoCCA). There, we perform separately (but side-by-side, for a better visual experience) on an upright piano and keyboard.
In usual piano lessons, the student and teacher would work on the same piano together. For Covid-19 safety, I demonstrate on a keyboard and the student uses the upright piano. Social distancing is prioritized and maintained throughout the lesson. Masks are required for non-vaccinated lesson attendees. The Covid policy will be updated as State of Connecticut's mandates and CDC guidelines (as of May 2021).
